Still A Long Way Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It did beat me in long way
I was proving difficult and going away
It was not the set course to pursue upon
The hearts are never captured or won

I suffered from male domination
The internal urge was sure indication
I was compelled to stop the violent urge
The devilish idea was surely trying to emerge

What basically do we lack?
Why we move arrogant with stiff neck?
Showing complete arrogance and power
Not realized the essence of life by many but fewer

We are social animal and thus would interact
Mix socially, cordially behave and act
Externally we are perfect and very good gentleman
Internally we are hostile and very cruel man

It is expected that women folks are equally treated
Honor and dignity is well maintained and meted
Let there be any form not specified in general term
We are greatly moved by the plight with concern

They are brutally murdered and way laid
Some of them confined badly and less paid
We let loose hell on very large scale
Some of the things surface with horrified tale

The world has waken up largely for such crusade
People are warned of stern steps and forbade
Still futile attempt is made to molest and invade
It is malign intent with only aim to degrade

There is great upheaval and outcry
Every civilized society condemns and tries
Its repeat occurrence and torture
Blackening the human face for sure

Surely we are human but not less than animal
When times comes we behave worst and react formal
Whole blame is passed on as if to prove of complete innocence
We are degrading ourselves and called so hence
