Still Awaiting Spring Poem by Matthew Holloway

Still Awaiting Spring

The tree stands bare
As a light snow falls
The sky a pasty white grey
A few birds chirp and sing
Otherwise all is quiet
The day sits still
I muse on a thought
Lingering somewhere
In the back of my mind
I'll write something soon
Patiently presently
I am
Still awaiting spring
