Storm Poem by shakil ahmed

Storm

Storm

Beware of ghostly storm wandering the dark sky
Like the hungry tiger looking for its prey
Very carefully, in the deep jungle
Where the lovely fountains spray.

Think of the herd of placid deer
That is grazing in the edge of the forest
They are galloping in search of a place
Where they can take shelter and take some rest.

Now twittering birds are flapping wings
Looking for a giant tree near by
That provides a safe and secure shelter
When winds are roaring in the sky.

Think of the wood cutter, who cuts tree
Near the edge of a clear rill
With parching tongue and beating heart
Searching for a shelter in a cave of a hill.

Think of an orphan sitting in a lonely room
In a mossy cottage of a distant village
None in the world his near and dear
Who will soothe him giving courage.

Beware when storm strikes the land
Ruthlessly with its full might
Creating havoc everywhere, sparing none
Leaves the land in a state of hopeless plight.
