Storm Squalls Lash Assaulted Land In Passing Poem by Terence George Craddock

Storm Squalls Lash Assaulted Land In Passing

Rating: 5.0

melting overhead heavy cloud blackness
melting water saturated vapour darkness
melting dew point stretched tight clouds
in sheets downpouring driven wind rains
in gravity earth diving liquid droplets
in earth impact falling hitting waters
wet lands past dry suddenly sodden floods
wet rain fed rivers overflowing burst banks;
when a cloudburst rainstorm passes
when the rain passes finally goes
when the rain last drop expires
when first ray sunlight breaks
through thin split spent clouds
seek out rare droplet jewels;
