Stranger Poem by Rashidah Rahman

Stranger

Rating: 4.5

An invisible gap between us.
But I saw it.
A perfect stranger.
But I knew you.
Time was my enemy.
It tried to be friend.
But I cant.

Things change.
We hate it.
It’d be easy.
If we can forget
This friendship
That we once shared
But I wont

I wanted to blame the distance
Time wasn’t enough
All these excuses
We both had it rough

Maybe we’re going to figure this out
Or maybe not
At least we should try
And see if it’ll work out
Because it will

Rhyming is not important in poetry but the thought and flow should be there and you have got that... nicely written...
