Strawberry Field Memories Stripped Bare Poem by Terence George Craddock

Strawberry Field Memories Stripped Bare

shared couch no longer a whole afternoon crunches
seating empty memories eating a ton of sunflower seeds
nostalgia is tsunami wave devastating green securities

ten years in shadow time living hell fire memories
flame years afraid to forget a sharp knife stabbing heart
nostalgia blind spreading fake fantasy dust dreams

bright eyes faded dull in bitter smile no future holds
old songs in needle ruts repeat repeat no happy endings
mind canyon needle ruts escapes no severe depressions
