Strong May Fall Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Strong May Fall

Strong may fall

Same hands to wash
And same to wish
For curse
And for promises

You raise them for mercy
And ask for reprieve from an almighty
For having done wrong
And now remorsefully sing

Do not get confused
When refused
Request for getting good
But receive rotten food

Many people spend sleepless nights
And mercilessly fight
Over piece of bread
And leave behind many dead

War is no ambition
But improving relation
By way of showing might
And doing right

So get things done
From any one
Weak may consent easily
Strong may fall convincingly
