Such A Beautiful Person Rose Of Camperdown Poem by Francis Duggan

Such A Beautiful Person Rose Of Camperdown

With shoulder length wavy hair and eyes of brown
She lives quite a way from her rural Hometown
Down to earth one who does not yearn for renown
Such a beautiful person Rose of Camperdown

The life of Suburbia she does enjoy
She does feel content and at home in Fitzroy
Unattached without children one who is carefree
Next year in July she will be twenty three

She does not have siblings twice a month she
Drives to Camperdown mum and dad for to see
For some lucky bloke she would make a good wife
Though she is happy at present in her single life

So charming and attractive with a beautiful smile
She is what she seems one untainted by guile
The charm of the rural town girl she retain
Surely Camperdown's loss has to be Fitzroy's gain.
