Such People - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

He is neither sage nor saint
Still wants to remain and maintain
Close contact with poor and downtrodden
Such feeling is not rushed all of sudden

Such kind of noble souls do exist
They believe in self and trust
In human being they find the refection of god
Suffering yet smiling with blessings from lord

They are human alright
But goal is still to aim and fight
Render service to mankind
Take them to the happiness road and find

They are sent as missionary
True to self and very ordinary
Life standard is even below poor
Still they work from door to door

“Life is not bed of roses” the legend says
“Life is with many pauses” they assert
“No where it gives peace of mind” they advocate
“You need to be tolerant and kind” they state

Such people tirelessly work
Stand alone but true to words
Peace and love is only message
We can see it openly and guess
