Summer Doves Poem by Richard George

Summer Doves

Rating: 5.0

Hush hour. Saffron light.
Once, twice
their beaks epée:

she bobs her head
once, twice,
in a flurry of wings he mounts her

and at the end, 'Peace' she says,
he says 'Peace':

the only word they know.
