Summer Holidays First Day Poem by Paul Warren

Summer Holidays First Day

I felt the sun on my face today
A cloud drifted on the breeze
Remembering those carefree days
When you were so easy to please

I saw the sky in azure blue
And the ocean a deep teal
Where windsurfers swept through
Summer days meant happiness for real

I would ride my bike at the start of Summer holidays
No school and no worries were the rule
Beach days stretching fun in endless ways
A kid is happy doing kid things you do,
