Summerlovin Poem by Taylor Hodges

Summerlovin

Waves from the ocean crash along the beach,
There is a breeze blowing across my skin.
It feels like a warm breath on my bare shoulders
Summer should be carefree
A season made for dramatic flair
It makes you feel alive...
I find a boy,
And stay out late to talk all night long,
Laying out in his backyard.
Bodies flat against the sweet grass.
Smiling with our lips,
Smiling with our eyes,
Smiling with our hearts.
This is a time of utter happiness.
Then fall comes...
And I slip into a coma.
