Sundered Spring Poem by Thomas Plotz

Sundered Spring

Woke today to
Sundered spring

To the heaviest snow
Since winter begins,

Snowflakes,
Thick, wet and heavy

Amber daffodils
Lay snow covered

All tucked in
With a springtime nap,

Still the petals are
Left unblemished

Almost welcoming
The utmost cold,

Gleaming in from
Northern skies,

I know it's a message
From Angels looming,

High above
Our angel sky
