Superman - Poem by Gabrielle Hastings

To be honest
I don't want you to leave me
You're kind, caring,
With looks so deceiving.

If I had a chance
To take it all back
I would
'Cause you're the best man I've ever had.

Memories, how they haunt me
And love, how it taunts me
I just want to tell you
How life's been lately.

It's been crap
Everything has been falling apart
Crumbling and decaying
Even my heart.

I keep wishing and wishing
For happiness
I realize now
What it really is.

I need someone
To help me through this...
This time of darkness,
Death and ruin.

Superman, save me
I'm dying clueless
Erase my mind
You're the one I want to do it.

I wanna hear birds chirp
And smell fresh roses
By a beautiful sea
With sand under my toes.

And I don't wanna be
By myself every morning.
I've lost enough love
To know the right one is forming.

Just tell me you want me
And you can have me
All I want in return...
Are your arms wrapped around me.
