Superman Was Gone Poem by Oscar Munir

Superman Was Gone

She stood there with her three year old daughter,
Looking at the little one who could now not move,
He lay down in a small box, eyes closed and mouth shut.
His tiny hands over each other,
All dressed in a superman costume.

'Is he smiling? ' the little girl asked,
She and the little boy where twins,
The mother was speechless, tears rolling down her chubby cheeks,
The twin girl began crying as well.
She had no idea of what was happening.

Closer to the brother's coffin she moved,
She started whispering, 'hey superman, wake up, '
There was no answer from her twin brother,
'let's go save the world, ' She said as she shook him up but there's was no response,
'Wonder Woman needs you, come on let's go' she cried out.

She was the 'Wonder Woman' and he was superman,
Those were their two favorite heros,
The entire room could not stop their tears at this sight,
Little did this little Wonder Woman know,
That superman, her twin brother was no more.
