Supreme Mother Love (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Supreme Mother Love (Part 1)

A sucker amidst cycle
Derive nutrient from gamete
Hands suffer not in toil
Yet mouth never lack to eat
Drum ceases not to receive
And spent bowel discard

Heaven weep copious tears
Dissolving and melting
Yet insoluble I remain,
When hurricane whirl threateningly
Unmoved I stand
And when earth quivers in danger
I remain untouched
The leaves above shield
Stems from sides guide
And root protect below
In love harm is absent.
