Surely Need Practice Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Surely Need Practice

Surely need practice

Only if I could keep my pace with
-golden wheat in breeze; of morning
-when her hair keeps float and dancing
-to make a horizon in painting
-work of art on canvas; masterpiece

In her hair runs shock of electrons
-their waves are very long; in silk cords
-strong each of them like the cords of carbon
-for making air-planes…and she runs

Only if I could run as fast, with same speed
-I would be in the shade; till I reached
-and shadow of her hair could save me

Pleasant would feel my nostrils
-with sweet smell of essence of
-the racing sweat-drops
-fresh as the dawn's dew
-on blades of grass
-on petals of roses
-on the leaves hanging shy
-on the thorns, the fighting-
-guardians, standing statures
-to defend flowers from harm

I could see constantly
-observe them when racing
-down her back
-highlighting every disk of spine
-from neck to crack
-pouring in spring of the cheeks
-of her butts,

I can see clear from far
-it would be obvious,
-if closer to her

Surely need practice…
-must thrive
-keep running
