Surprise Me With The Truth - Poem by Dom Hunt

Surprise me with the truth
Don't lie to me no more
Words no longer twisted
As they always have before

I'm not scared of honesty
Im not scared about who I am
But your afraid to say the words
Frankly I don't give a damn

But your living in a lie
Words you cannot speak
How much has changed
Strength has turned so weak

Surprise me with the truth
It will set you free
Don't lose yourself in lies
Tell the truth to me

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This about how people find it so hard to be honest with others and themselves

This is Raw and to the Point... Painfully so, as your emotions are fried and frazzeled
by the constant lies. Truth would be a releif to the extent of knives across your skin, needles in your vein,
and death to your soul. Welcome Truth, for It Will Set You Free! .
-Dom, I love this one the best. It says a whole lot without muddling around. Great Write.
    -Kelly.
