Survive For Self Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Survive For Self

Survive for self

Honor is no honor
If you complain for minor
And mind that "you have to put labor"
To survive for self and others

Think of our forefathers
Who had nothing to put off hunger
Still they carried on with whatever they had
The empty stomach was definitely fed

If so then all will complain
Bear no pain
And demand all luxuries available
Without putting up any struggle

One should know
The sweetness of hard labor when go
For livelihood and survival
You will know the life real

Under hot sun or in open field
The spade is held
The earth is dug out
And seeds are put

The monsoon shall spread
And earth shall raise head
With all ground cells in active mood
You shall find enough in your store as food
