Surviving Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Surviving

Some things in life, we just have to accept,
Face up to and live with, however hard.
That we all are mortal is a universal concept,
And our eventual destiny is the graveyard.

Some leave us here much too soon, it's true.
Though we long to keep them, but we have to let go.
Pain is unbearable but there's nothing we can do -
There's a time for dying, that is what we all know.

Whoever we are with now, whether family or friend,
With them spend our time, try to give our best
To comfort, love, forgive, until we meet our end
The time we too, must go and have our final rest.
