Suspected Of Mental Illness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Suspected Of Mental Illness

There exist several places,
Many have said,
They had traveled to visit.
And were treated with respect.
While they observed others,
Talking and walking together.
As younger people showed,
They knew about being disciplined.
To then offer those who visted,
If there was anything they could do.
With their assistance to guarantee to get.

And when those who had returned,
From those places they had visited.
With memories to express,
How much they enjoyed themselves.
Only a few could not forget,
Wanting to rush back to a comfort...
More accepted and life to expect.
Without it to wonder but already knew...
Those suspected of mental illness,
Was not at all that difficult to do.
