Sustained

sustained

Upon my brow hardened, as stone, its
pure weighty burden, the wound my
lovesick heart doth bear, all too tender.
I turn my glance wayward lest they catch
a glimpse of sorrow where none should
dwell, in your lovley eyes.
I open fresh scar to reveal, private pain,
can we let love wash over us again?
in my plight to prove my worthiness, ill
gently take my ladies hand, by which I
steadfastly pledge undyeing love, deep
true.
Instinctivly I place my trust in you, allow
me a moment to hold you in acheing arms.
Each others freedom from lonliness, throughout
turbulent storm, frienship our anchor, faith
it's form, our love will sustain us, lend us strength.
The world says we'll never make it, love says we will.
