Swansong Poem by Jean Dament

Swansong

Rating: 4.0

Upon the serene blue water rests a lone white swan,
Amidst the silence all too calm,
Lonesome & lost without her soulmate,
She's out there pining on this quiet lake,
Then an echo bursts forth forming a solitary song,
She sings a sweet melody all the day long,
This lullaby is heard much like a trumpet sound,
But no other heeds the call & no other swan can be found,
Realizing for now she must wander on her own,
She'll sing her heart out til she's no longer alone.

Spiritsong,
