Swayed Of Intellect Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Swayed Of Intellect

The
future will
occur; of positivity, of
freedom, that is the question…
one for society's slaves and inmates and intimates
a future of outlooks through myths and hopes and dreams
erased by shades of distaste; an offered, needed, sympathy
of that fellow, soothing the solitudes of and weaknesses
apparent in, the loathed aplomb of malleable emotions
should you believe in believing agony as a negative
positive, to any and all, yawning agape minds…
Minds nurtured in the detest of a single
failure, forced from within all found
peace and hope; that was put
away, forgotten, hated, denied, as
the practiced tease of whatever…
Emptied betrayal, lost hope of soul
melancholy outspoken confide; of
the inner self, and one's truths ayes
seemingly always gloomy and forever
despised, and expressing no mercy
owed, silently swayed of intellect
