Sweet Pea Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea climbed into the apple tree
To play with a bird and the honeybees
The bird had no time and flew on his way
The bees were busy and had nothing to say
So what she, do
She danced the Boogaloo
Waving her finger like a crying shame

So now Sweet Pea she still wanted to play
She came to a brook that was not far away
All the little fishes were swimming that day
The water was cold, so Sweet Pea only waved
She did the, Boogaloo
Like she always, do
Waving goodbye to the swirling pool

It was not too long before a bear came along
Waving his finger and singing a song
Sweet Pea joined in to swing with the bear
They both waved their fingers high in the air
They did the Boogaloo
Like they like to do
Dancing the swing to a natural tune

Like all fun it ends with the day
Sweet Pea ran home before it got really late
But when Sweet Pea peeked into the door
She laughed so hard she almost fell to the floor
What did her parents do
It was the Boogaloo
Dancing to the beat like they taught her too

Now the day was over it was lots of fun
Sweet Pea said Goodnight to the setting sun
She thanked her faith for such a great day
Then fell asleep with a smiling face
She dreamed the Boogaloo
All the children do
Moving to the groove in a magical strewn
