Sweet Release

In the sky's vast embrace, she found her grief,
Where clouds once soft, now dark with stormy weight,
Her love, like vapor, lost in winds so brief,
Drifts far beyond the reach of heaven's gate.

No longer blue, the sky turns ashen gray,
A mirror to the paleness of her face,
The sun, once bright, now hides and shies away,
As heartache lingers in that darkened place.

Her whispered prayers dissolve in morning mist,
As thunder cracks the stillness in the air,
She seeks the stars, but they're no longer there,
Just endless clouds, a burden hard to bear.

Yet in the storm, she feels a fierce release,
The sand beneath her feet absorb the liquid heat,
The sky may mourn, but she has found her peace.
