Lower are the standards set,
That acquiesces.
And approves,
Who swindles, scams...
With expertise at scandals.

As if this meets,
Prerequisites understood...
A preparedness accepted.
Given a pathway to conduct,
Such immoral misdeeds...
Successfully.
With a turning of backs.
And cocktails sipped.
By those sitting in positions,
Of leadership immuned.
From performing,
The most obscene activities.
With a doing that represents,
A consent meant to prove...
Loyalty to their constituents!

'How appalling and offensive,
Your outrageous sentiments! '

I know.
Aren't they disgusting?

'Yes they are.

Would you like more 'sherry'?
Or would you like with me,
To sip on champagne?

Discussing...

My own thoughts then,
Were quite similar.
Before I was solicited,
To join mavericks like myself.
And here we are,
Cocktail sipping hypocrites.
