Symphony Of Life Poem by Smoky Hoss

Symphony Of Life

What would it be like
to see what I feel-
And to hear emotions
as symphonic-
Flashing lights of the rainbow
bass guitar beating 3/4 time-
Drums in heartbeat rhythm
moon shining on the sea-
Dark blue waves upon the ocean
wild wind tearing tree tops-
Mellow smooth indifference of jazz
sweet peace in a vermillion sunset-
Mind-boggled, pondering the universe
frustration not knowing all the cosmic music-
Songs sung in the soul
the language of love,
understood, though ineffable-

So many highs soaring
balanced by lows crawling-
Emotions, a sonata
in the concerto of life-
A constant capitulation of volition
trying to grasp feelings-
