Tagore Song (296) This Year Spring Left Without Music When Bokul-Roots Were Covered By Shredded Flower

(kokhon Bosonto gelo ebar holona gan)

When Spring left, this year wasn't musical
When Bokul-roots stayed covered by sliced flower
When the flower-budding came to an end:
Hey, this Spring-year, the buds didn't blossom
Honeybees couldn't enjoy nectar by singing
This year winds did not awaken the garden
Making its big noise, had left disappointed
On Spring-ending night I came in empty-hand
Couldn't make garland, what shall I offer you
My silent flute crying, lip-blended in smiling
Your eyes showing signs of distressed tears
