Take A Side Poem by Rory slevin

Take A Side

Strangers talking out
Strangers talking loud
Never making sense
Cause you sit on the fence
Never speaking out
Never speaking loud

Cant take a side cause no one is on mine
People come and people go
They never see that they can make it end

Inside your heart your spirit dwells
Free to flee and find itself
But it stays put to help you see that life is more than what you see
Success and failure go hand in hand
To describe for us the greatest of men

Life is unpredictable and so it shall remain
The stars don't hold our fortunes they only show us our pain
The time for action has come and gone into the sands of time
The hourglass has cracked into our constant Holy rhyme

It is spilling over what we can reality
Reality is but an unspoiled melody
But to each his own so much cant be known
Our bodies hide so much
We never take that extra pace, never see that special place, never feel the feel of grace
Because we don't take a side

To take a side means you cannot hide
Behind the coming of the moonlit tide

When the time comes to die
It will be possible to those who strive
For the deserts themselves to cry and turn too sea

The time will come when that fence is not enough
The world will mean too much
The skies will darken but you will not be dampened
The thought of love the love of thought will keep you right
And from then ever on never lose it from your sight.
