Take It Back Poem by Paul Warren

Take It Back

Take it back
I heard him say
That's not a fact
Now go away

But he couldn't hide the truth
From all in town
The word was out - struth
It had got around

So in the end
The black eye given
He did not defend
As he felt he was driven

For once it's known
In all that's said
It could not be unknown
Even if he wished it in his dread.
