Take Me Between Your Arms - Poem by Atef Ayadi
Take me between your arms,
And leave me for my dreams.
Take me between
Your arms,
So my soul could rest
And my wars
Find their way
To their eternal peace.
Take me between your arms.
So my infant dreams
Slip into
Your infant dreams.
Take me between your arms;
I want to hide
My masculinity
With its strength,
Its weakness, and
Its despair.
