Take My Picture - Poem by Daniel Hooks

Take my picture
This place, this moment in time
This memory,
This day.
Take my picture
Show this expression on my face,
Happy or sad,
Good or bad

Note down in your picture
What the world was like
When you were here
Make your picture clear
Focal point direct,
Lens focus correct.
Give respect to my life
And how I held my head high
As you were walking past
Take a picture and make it last

    a fervent desire to
    alive and strong
    that the world should
    see who you
    really are
    and having seen,
    that a person
    could feel his own existence
    and be proud
    a fine poem
