Taken For Granted Poem by Patti Masterman

Taken For Granted

Taken for granted,
A cloud by a day;
Rainbow by rainshower;
April by May.

The heart of the lover
Is often disdained,
While thinking old songs
Are forgotten refrains.

To treasure not forgetting
In the carapace of brain,
Just find the new beginning
Where you can start again.
