Taken Innocence Again Poem by Nicole Delong

Taken Innocence Again

Another day you had gone.
Again take them all but me.
After I begged you not to stay.
Again alone with him.
Then the footsteps came.
I run upstairs to hide.
Room by room lights go out.
One by one doors are locking.
The silence fills the air.
My heart pulsing in my ears.
The door opens. Not again.
He steps in and slams it shut.
'It's time to play babydoll.'
I fought the tears but broke the silence in fear.
Im pulled from under the bed.
I tried to run but the grip tightened.
I felt the heat.
The breaths along my neck.
The angry heartbeat opposing mine.
A drop brings me down.
Pinned tightly to the floor.
His hand cradles my tear stricken face.
'We'll be done soon.'
My screams go unheard.
My fighting overpowered.
The feeling of him tearing me apart.
Please come home.
Please make it stop.
Minutes are hours again and again.
'This is our secret now don't you tell.'
