In my time I've done some things,
I wish I hadn't done,
I've lost some battles,
I wish I had of won,
Somewhere deep inside,
I could rip right at the seems,
I feel sometimes that 'reckless',
Is embedded in my genes....
I try to plod along,
And keep myself out of trouble,
Until the alter ego rears,
And bursts my comfort bubble....
Not one of us is perfect,
No matter how convinced we seem,
But learning from our mistakes,
Helps to wake us from this dream,
A constant swirl or twists and turns,
Life throws us all the tests,
If life was simple and drama free,
How can we push to be our best?
We are all on a journey,
Whether or not you want to believe,
At the end of the physical world,
It's only our bodies behind we leave,
So live it to the full,
And accept how you are,
Nothing material can define you,
Not a house, nor clothes, nor car,
Love truly is the essence,
And with this you can find your way,
If all actions were created with love,
An important role you'll play,
In moulding the person you want to be,
The idol you look up to,
Just accept you beauty,
Your qualities and flaws,
The only thing you CAN control is you!
