Taking It's Toll Poem by Francis Duggan

Taking It's Toll

Climate Change on Planet Earth is taking it's toll
It does seem that Global Warming is out of control
And it does seem cutbacks on carbon emissions have come far too late
Future generations of people for our greed face an uncertain fate
That most of us are not friends of Nature there can be no denying
In polluted and drying out waterways fish they are dying
Due to destruction of natural habitatand Climate Change wildlife becoming rare
Far too few it does seem of the environmentally aware
The price to pay for the exploitation of Mother Earth for her resources may be great indeed
Of more friends of Nature humanity is in need
The World that we live in is for us for to care
And with all other life forms for to share
Pollution of air, land and sea and every waterway
On Planet Earth taking it's toll and this seems sad to say.
