Talk And Walk Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Talk And Walk

Talk and walk

Round table in office
Sit bodies and lecture:
'Refugees…'

Jackets, ties
Their hair done
Perfume and makeup.

Here, there microphones
They share or have them tied
And speak: 'Refugees…'

Some photos, videos
On screen come and go
Dusty and on the run
If not dead already, in blood.

The bodies, in the room and on watch
So alike with one head, two hands, thighs
One in talk, one in walk, 'Refugees…'

Observers if any
Those close and or far
Hear, see, changing mind
In favour or against the cause of
'Refugees…'

Those involved in action
Differ while
Moving to right or wrong direction
In search of safe place
A heaven as haven,

The highest percentage live in hell
Somehow and in a way…
Almost all live in jails
Of hardship or conscious
With the laws and people of place they ended:
'Remember ancestors, their movements
Refuge…' is blown in the air.
'I speak of today…it is their problem! '
