Tapestry Travesty Poem by Rob Knetsch

Tapestry Travesty

you will stumble upon this woven plot
made up of countless threats on your life
preparing you for the master defense
down in the trenches of your wrecked trousers

they pull on your sleeves to tear off your arms
but will not succeed in this because of a lack of
persistence and tools of proper and decent quality
howling like wolfs they pull back, hide in their caves

we have come closer just to observe the change
of the alterations you have made to this interior
it looks like all these words have been moved
and stacked up against the eroded northern wall

now i know that it was not a planned wrongdoing
but you know very well that similar types of projects
have always failed because they were pulled out
while we were creating a new matrix for leverage
