Teach your boys not to ever carry a gun
Teach them only cowards always carry one,
And teach them never to a bully, or to be unruly
Then teach them to be brave and proud and not to ever run.
Teach your boys to never drink or chew or smoke
Or to take drugs which will cause them to pass out or choke,
Teach them not to lie, and that it's awful to get drunk or high
Or they soon will have a heart attack or a stroke.
Teach your boys not to ever be a bigot or a racist
Because, of someone's belief or of different colored faces,
We are all the same in the eyes of God, with his nod
Remember, the Lord always gives out his graces.
Teach your boys the power there is to read
In their soul and In their mind plant that mighty seed,
When they take a book, tell them to do more than look
It will expand their imagination indeed.
Teach your boys wherever they might stand
Teach them always to respect the law of the land
The laws we must always obey, every single day
Especially the laws written by Gods mighty hand.
Teach your boys to respect all females
Teach them to see them as women and not as males,
Be always a gentleman and polite, bring them delight
Then truth and admiration always prevails.
Teach your boys to always read the Bible
Truly for their souls ultimate revival,
Teach them to follow the Lord Jesus, and never to swear or cuss
Then they'll be joyful at the Lords arrival.
Teach your boys the way they should be taught
And what truly should always be sought,
Teach them to not to judge, or to ever hold or keep a grudge
Then in a few years God fearing righteous men you've got.
