Russian kids learn how to disassemble an AK
As they learn that they can kill on any day,
They are not taught peace or how to worship or pray
Do we want our children taught the very say way.
Do we want our children to be taught to loathe and hate
Because, the government does dictate,
Someone that they don't know their murder does await
Because, it is ordained and taught by the state.
Do we want violence in our schools and hate everywhere
Because, for love and peace we do not really care,
We say we are Christians, but we'd rather have guns than a prayer
On our sleeves hate we'd rather wear.
In schools our children should be taught to understand and learn
Not to kill and not to ever burn,
In that belief and teaching they should yearn
Then a rebuilt place in a civilized society they will earn.
In schools our children should be taught how to read and write
Not how to judge and hate and to rebel and fight,
Let them all know there is but one true shining light
And they must be taught the difference between wrong and right.
Just because your neighbor has a weapon or two
That doesn't mean that you need a couple too,
Don't judge and hate and accuse because they do
Go, and sit and truly listen from a pew.
Those who live by the sword shall also die by it
That Bible verse we must not ever forget,
And unto that verse and belief we must all solemnly commit
As on the heavenly throne God watches us as he does sit.
