Teardrops - Poem by Gordon Jerome

A teardropp is such a precious thing to behold
It can fall for happiness or for sorrow I’m told
They can fall in a crowd or when you’re alone
Allowing your feelings a chance to be shown
They can be filled with laughter, anger or fear
These few ingredients can be found in a tear
The happy ones tickle clean down your cheek
The ones filled by fear make your knees weak
But the ones filled with anger are worst of all
They burn deep with rage as they start to fall
A tear can help express the way that you feel
Or give all your feelings a chance just to heal
Others can be filled with a love that’s so true
Like the teardrops I shed when I think of you.
“closing thought”
May you never know a reason to cry for anger or fear
May you only know the feeling of a happiness tear
