Tearing Away, Wearing Away Poem by Holly Heron

Tearing Away, Wearing Away

My heart is pulling me down,
My tears are breaking my soul,
Tearing away, wearing away,
Freezing down my core,
My beat has slowed,
Rhythms gone,
My love for you is tarnished,
You turnt away,
Forgot my love,
Deaf now to my cries,
My voice is tearing through this place,
And still your ears don't hear,
My blood is seeping from old scars,
Ode to an ancient pain,
My heart is pulling me down,
My tears are breaking my soul,
Tearing away, wearing away.

Wow- powerful stuff. You really convey the sense of helplessness and loss very well indeed. Excellent poem- keep writing. :)
