Tears
Tears for sorrow that the past is forever gone
Tears for the unexpected awareness of painful truth
Tears for the lost love that was not cherished
Tears for the lost moments that were not shared
Tears for the bygone love that cannot return
Tears for the hidden feelings that were never revealed
Tears that have been waiting for so long to be freed
Tears for the words that should have been spoken aloud
Tears for letting love slip through the fingers like sand
Tears for only finding it again too late
Oh!
Tears for my eternally wide-open love for you!
