Tears Now Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Tears Now

It is my wise conclusion
That this love is unfortunate
It makes me weep with the notion
That to have you is to seal my fate.

Better to have these tears now
To wash away the dreadful pain
Than to have and to lose you somehow
Then I have to die again and again.

So let us in one last accord
Severe our mutual bond today
Though goodbye is such difficult word,
That is all we have left to say.
