Tears Of Blood Poem by Leslie Ching

Tears Of Blood

Her eyes
Alight eagerly
Her hands
Tremble nervously
Her precious secret
Still safe
A chance
Too close
For comfort
Suspicions
Still arising
Eyes and ears
Open and prying
But she realizes
Too late-
Infiltration
And outrage-
Unprepared
Unshielded
Words
Like daggers
Penetrate her skin
Pierce her back
Infect her blood
Invade her mind
Crushed
Into
A useless shell
Empty of hope
Filled with despair
She cries
Tears of hurt
Tears of blood
