Tell Her I Said ‘hello’ Poem by Charlie F. Kane

Tell Her I Said ‘hello’

When you see her, tell her I said ‘hello’,
And let her know that I still think of her.
Tell her I miss her hair, her fingertips,
And the way she reads books.
Tell her I miss the way her lips spell words
And when she smiles you’ll know
Why I promised to follow wherever she’d go.
If you kiss her, ask if she ever thinks of me
And that I still lie awake at night and think
Of some foolish thing I could have done,
But she may have forgotten me by now.

Whenever you see her,
Just tell her I said ‘hello’.

I loved it. 'Tell her I miss her hair, her fingertips, And the way she reads books.' It's the little details that make this poem real.
