Closer I'm to sunset, not sunrise,
No large shadows I cast,
Nor yet live in past,
Day at a time added
I slowly move ahead.
And hope to live on till time's demise!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

I remember grandma asking many such riddles when we were kids. All were set in local dialects, in a verse form easy to remember. In Gujarat we knew them as ukhana (n sounding heavy) . Alas, today's grannies no more know them.
