Temptation Poem by Maya Hanson

Temptation

It takes all my will to stay away
after a touch of insanity

Distractions, failures, flying high
brings no peace of mind

You've chosen her, you hooked me
I try to speak without a scream

Self-control, I use more than you know
and this choice is all I live for

It takes strength to make a fist
when you're at my fingertips

But I've chosen and I'm never going back
