temptation is
a subtle cunning beast
that lays in wait.
like serpent
in a field of grass
when unsuspecting feet,
leave path behind
of common days
and wander close
until
the slender presence
parts the grass,
his danger
to reveal.
perhaps
seems harmless
to succomb, - to
satisfy our lusts,
and yet
a tale of ancient garden
maybe warns
of such as this.
